Trace Cell Phone Number – in minutes

There are lots of reasons why you would want to trace cell phone number. You might be receiving prank calls. You might be concerned about numbers on your partners phone that you don’t recognise. You might need to verify an address. Lots of reasons, all sensible and all perfectly legitimate that mean you need to find out who owns a cell phone, perhaps their address and more.

There are several ways that you can go about finding this information. The best approach depends on three key factors:

  1. how quickly do you need to know
  2. how much time are you prepared to invest in finding out
  3. how sure do you need to be that the information you get is correct

So, let’s look at the options.

The most obvious way to find out is to use a search engine. Simply enter the cell phone number into the search engine and see what you get back. If you get lucky, you will get a match and hopefully a name. You might be surprised by this, but the people leave snippets of information all over the internet. They may be involved with a club, or a church or in a business, and have posted their contact information online. You may have to try several searching in several different ways so for example 123-456-7890 or 123 456 7890 or 1234567890 or (123) 456 7890 – you get the idea. Don’t give up if your first effort fails. You might also find that you need to make additional searches to get all the information you want.

Be prepared, this way of searching is often slow and you may end up disappointed with the result that you get. There is no guarantee that your search will be successful, or that the information that you get back will be accurate. So, if you need certainty, then this really isn’t the best approach for you to take.

The second option to trace cell phone number is to simply call it. Think carefully though if this is a path that you really want to go down. Depending on your circumstances and motivation there may be a lot at stake. Your search may also be unsuccessful if you get no answer or an automated voicemail. You are also alerting the owner of the phone to the fact that somebody is trying to find them, and unless you block your own number, you actually identify yourself to them.

The best option?

Personally, I believe that if you are concerned about finding who owns a number then you should take the fastest, easiest and most reliable approach – use  a specialist reverse cell phone trace service. These services enable you trace a cell phone number in seconds. Using data drawn from a number of databases, the reverse cell phone lookup, can immediately, and for free confirm if they have the number in their system. They will also show you an approximate address of the owner. To get the remaining information about the phone you simply pay a small fee for a one off search or a membership to allow you to search repeatedly.

The search is of course 100% confidential and the owner of the phone is completely unaware of your search so you can be totally confident that you are getting the best available information, in private and extremely quickly.

If you have concerns about some phone calls then you need to get rid of your stress and take positive action – trace the cell phone number now. Why suffer unnecessarily when you can have the information you desperately need in only 2 minutes from now.

So if you need to trace cell phone number then do it the easy way – it till only take 5 minutes and give you the answers you need.

If an unknown cell phone number is causing you stress then you can find out everything that you need about the cell phone and it’s owner in minutes following a few simple steps.

The starting point is to enter the cell phone number that you need to trace in the box above.

When you trace a cell phone number using a professional reverse number lookup service the first thing that you will get is a confirmation that the number has been found in the database.

Along with this, you will also get an approximate location of the owner’s address.   You can see this in the example report below:

Sample Cell Phone Trace ReportFrom here, you can then decide if you need more information.  If so, it’s really easy to get the remaining information about the owner of the cell phone including:

  • Phone owner name
  • Current street address
  • Line type – landline or mobile
  • Phone company / carrier
  • Issuing location with map
  • Previous addresses

In order to get this information, you normally have to pay a small charge.  Our preferred provider PhoneDetective charge around $14 for a single search, or you choose an annual membership option for less than $40.

You can then use the information however you need.

Rest assured that the search remains confidential and the owner of the phone will not be made aware or alerted in any way to the fact that a search has been undertaken.

So you can see that in a couple of simple steps that you can find out pretty much everything that you need to know about the owner of a mobile phone.  Conducting a reverse phone look up in this way is entirely justified and reasonable if you have any doubts or concerns about a phone number.  Phone number searches are completely legal.

Once you have the information that you need you can then take the necessary steps to relieve the stress caused by the previously unknown number.  Peace of mind – in only a few minutes.

So you are worried about an unidentified cell phone number and have decided to do something about it and trace the owner of the number.  But which service do you use?  There are a few available in the US, and the quality does vary somewhat.

The first thing to know is that the price doesn’t vary.  Nobody offers cell phone number traces that are completely free.  All why show you some (and possibly enough) of the available information free of charge.  Of course, they hope that having confirmed that a number exists in their database and that they can in fact provide you with the details that you need, that you will then go on to pay for it.  After all, having come this far why wouldn’t you.

So, the price – pretty much everywhere is $14.95 for a complete set of information about the cell phone owner.  A couple of companies will charge £19.95 but these are in the minority.

If the price is the same everywhere then, what’s the difference between the various companies?

Essentially, it comes down to data.  The key to matching a cell phone in a reverse lookup is having a huge list of every known cell phone number in the US.  Clearly, the more numbers that a company has in the database, the more likely to find a match.  So, how do they compare?

Firstly, CellPhoneRegistry.  This service has 253 million cell phone numbers in it’s system.  However, when tested with a known fake number I got a positive match which surprised me shomewhat. Knowing the number was fake I chose not to hand over my credit card.

Next, I tried PhoneNumberScan, but immediately became concerned to see that this service appears to rely on County phone records.  On this ocassion though my fake number test passed, but then PhoneNumberScan failed to find a real number.  Not great.  At this point I gave up.

So, finally and somewhat underwhelmed with the results so far I went on to PhoneDetective.  This service reports to have the largest coverage of any of the providers and passed both my fake test and the real number test.  I also went through their FAQ page and was pleased to note that had my purchase not succeeded for any reason that there are staff available to help me get the information that I am looking for.  Should they fail, then I get my money refunded.

Having been through the options available, our conclusion is that the only service that we will use and that is featured anywhere on this site is PhoneDetective.com.  These guys are the best able to give you the information and reassurance that you need, and they are no cheaper or more expensive than anybody else.  So, if price is the same, go for the best service provider.
